I’m Tired — It Feels Good.
How I’m using a goal tracker to jumpstart my life and accelerate my success
Saturday — April 29th, 2023:
I felt crummy about some habits I’d developed over the past month. I was watching too much TV, spending too much time on my phone, not writing as much as I would have liked, not going to the gym enough, and sneaking too many late-night snacks.
Sunday — April 30th, 2023:
I woke up determined to turn things around. Feeling down is a part of life, and I’ve lived through that “valley” many times. Sometimes it’s a necessary part of life — however, I’ve found that when it’s time to crawl back out into the real world and resume life, the decision must be made with swiftness and certainty.
So, I *decided the month of May would be dedicated to getting my life back on track — and accelerating. I wanted to get in shape, sharpen my mind, improve my sleep, work on my relationships, and spark my creativity. Working in banking means I spend a little bit of time in Excel, and I’ve come to love its utility — so I decided to create a goal tracker rigorously record my month.
*deciding = committing to following through and staying true to your word, not for anybody else’s sake but for your own — you owe it to yourself
