Great piece, especially like your tidbit about initial hand shakes. I think a lot of advice I got early in life taught me to treat relationships competitively - where you may have to give a firm handshake to prove you're worthy or strong, etc. However, similar to you as I've aged I've realized that's a outdated approach and and relationships should be treated more wholistically as two people come together to create/offer/share something greater.
