Always had difficulty conveying the importance of who you surround yourself with and I think your line "spend your time with people who share your values but not all of your opinions" encapsulates it perfectly. Many of my friends have vastly different personalities or interests or opinions from me but when we share the same values the differences aid the strength of the friendship. However, I've had friendships where our interests, personalities, or opinions might better match but different values existed and this always creates a mental battle for me.
